Signing in — Security & OPSEC

The Network operates on trust. Here is what we do to protect it, and what we ask of you.

Why is there a separate member area?

Information about members, mentors, businesses, opportunities and contracts is for the Corps Family and trusted partners only. Authentication and admin approval keep that perimeter intact. The public site carries nothing that should not be public.

What is recorded when I sign in?

Standard authentication events: timestamps of sign-in and password changes, the IP address of recent sessions, your acknowledgement of the OPSEC notice (versioned and dated), and routine analytics inside the member area.

There is no keystroke logging, no content inspection of private messages, and no third-party advertising trackers behind the login. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

Why am I asked to re-acknowledge the OPSEC notice?

The notice is versioned. When we update it, every member is asked to re-acknowledge so the audit trail stays current. Your acceptance is timestamped to your account.

What if I think my account has been compromised?

Email info@therosenetwork.co.uk immediately and change your password. Do not try to "test" the suspicion — assume worst case and tell us. We can audit recent sessions, lock the account on request, and brief other admins discreetly if there are wider implications.

Passwords, 2FA and shared devices — what should I do?

Use a unique password — a reputable password manager makes this trivial. Never sign in on a shared, public, or untrusted device. If you must use one, sign out and clear the session afterwards.

Hardware 2FA is on the roadmap. Until then, treat this login like any sensitive professional account.

What is my responsibility once I am inside?

Treat the member area as restricted. That means:

No forwarding of screenshots, member details, opportunities or contract notices outside the Network. No pasting member information into outside chat groups, LinkedIn DMs or AI tools. No quoting Network conversations beyond it without explicit permission from the person concerned.

Apply Corps OPSEC habits to civilian career matters. Detail that seems trivial in isolation can be sensitive when seen in a wider context. If in doubt — ask before you share.
